Assessment
At St Botolph’s C of E Academy, we endeavour to support children to achieve to the best of their abilities and reach their full potential. We believe that assessment is fundamental to being able to extend and challenge children in their learning.
Assessment serves many purposes but the main purpose in our academy, is to help teachers, parents and pupils plan their next steps in learning. On going teacher assessment is central to pupils making good progress. In EYFS we use the 'Tapestry' assessment and tracking system and a school system for the rest of school along with FFT aspire.
There are currently four statutory assessments and tests which schools and academies have to carry out and report to parents. These are:
-
EYFS profile (End of Reception)
-
Phonics (End of Y1)
-
Key Stage 1 Assessments and Tests (End of Y2)
-
Key Stage 2 SATs (End of Y6)
Reporting to Parents
Pupils progress through the curriculum will be reported to parents during the Autumn and Spring parent consultations. In the Summer Term, End of Year attainment will be communicated through the pupils report. This will also include information an statutory assessments, where applicable.

Performance Tables:
The government did not publish KS2 school level data for the 2021 to 2022 academic year. Prior to last year the previous available public data is from the 2018 to 2019 academic year. It is important to note that the data from that year may no longer reflect current performance.
