School is closed on Friday 15th of January 2021
Dear Parents/Guardians,
I hope you are all safe and well following this snowfall today. I know many cars have been abandoned and it has been a very challenging day for families trying to get home.
In order to allow for families to plan for tomorrow, I have made the decision to close the academy site tomorrow to pupils and staff. There is likely to be a large amount of snow and ice on the site and I don't know what the situation with transport will be for tomorrow.
All pupils can access their remote learning and the teachers will contact any pupils who usually come into school to check that they can log on etc.
I understand how disruptive late notice is so I feel that putting the safety of everyone is paramount and making this decision now will enable families to make arrangements.
